Fresh homemade pasta is much easier to make than you think. You only need four ingredients which you probably already have at home. Using this method your pasta will come out perfect every single time. Now even more reason to invest in a pasta roller I guess!

Homemade Pasta from scratch
Fresh homemade pasta is much easier to make than you think. You only need four ingredients which you probably already have at home. Using this method your pasta will come out perfect every single time. Now even more reason to invest in a pasta roller I guess!
Servings: 4
Ingredients
- 4 Large Eggs
- 400 g All Purpose flour
- 1& ½ tsp Salt
- 3 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 2 tsp water if required
Instructions
- In this recipe I am using a stand mixture with a dough hook attachment, but you can also do this step in any mixing bowl or over the counter and knead the dough by hands. The only difference is that it will take longer time. (refer to the video)
- Beat the 4 eggs and add 1 & ½ tsp salt to it. Put 400g All-purpose flour in the stand mixture, followed by 3 tbsp of extra virgin olive oil, and the eggs.
- Knead the dough for 10 mins until the mixture comes together in a satiny mass. (refer to the video).
- Dust the counter with some flour, place the dough onto the counter and give it a final knead until the pasta dough is silky and smooth.
- Form it into a ball, cover with a damp cloth and leave for 30 minutes to an hour.
- Then get out your pasta machine, read the instructions. Cut the pasta dough in slices. You want one slice to feed through the pasta machine. You can store the remaining cut slices in the refrigerator or freezer. (refer to the video)
- Put one slice of the pasta dough through the no.1 roller press quite a few times, folding the strip in half and pushing it through again after each time. When the pasta dough’s been fed a few times through the no.1 slot, pass it through the remaining numbers one after the other on the gauge. (refer to the video for clear direction)
- Attach the fettuccini cutter and pass the pasta sheet thorough it. Carefully place the cut pasta onto a tray dusted with flour. Repeat the same process for the rest of the dough.
- While the cut fettuccini pasta is drying, bring a larger pot of salted water to a boil. Boil the fresh pasta until they’re al dent. (Remember fresh pasta cooks much faster than store bought pasta).
- Add it to the sauce of your choice and relish!
