Fudgy Brownie

December 16, 2020

Jump to Recipe - Print Recipe

Brownies are my all time favorite dessert no matter what time of the year. I believe, there are primarily 3 kinds of brownies: Cakey brownie, chewy brownie, and fudgy brownie. And I have to admit that I gravitate towards fudgy brownies more often than not.

WHAT KIND OF CHOCOLATE CHIP TO USE IN THIS RECIPE?

You can use dark chocolate, milk chocolate, semi-chocolate etc., depending on your liking. But remember the taste might vary accordingly.

HOW TO SERVE BROWNIES?

I personally like to eat little warm brownies where the center of the brownies oozes out with chocolate. To warm the brownies, cover them with moist paper towel and heat it in the microwave for 20 seconds.

You can also dust some powdered sugar on top of the brownies and serve it for a more festive vibe.

Or, you can go all out on special occasions and serve warm brownies, with some vanilla ice cream, drizzled with chocolate syrup.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Melted Unsalted Butter
  • 3 Eggs at room temperature
  • 1 tbsp Instant Coffee Powder
  • 2 tbsp Hot water
  • 1 Cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 Cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 Cup All-purpose flour
  • ¾ Cup Cocoa Powder
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tbsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 Cup Semi- Sweet Chocolate Chips

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven at 350° F. Take 8”x 8” square baking tray, spray non-stick cooking oil on the inside, line it with parchment paper (as shown in the video), and keep it aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl, take 1 cup melted unsalted butter, to which add 1 cup granulated sugar, 1 cup brown sugar, and whisk it.
  • Add 1 tbsp instant coffee powder to 2 tbsp hot water and stir it. Add this coffee mixture (optional) into the same large bowl, followed by 3 eggs, 1 tbsp Vanilla Extract and mix everything.
  • Sieve in 1 cup All-purpose flour, ¾ cup Cocoa powder, 1 tsp Salt, and carefully fold in the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients (refer to the video). Do not over mix it.
  • Now fold in 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips into the brownie batter.
  • Pour the batter into the lined baking tray, level it using a spatula, and bake it at 340°F for 30 mins or until the center is completely cooked through.
  • Remove the brownie from the oven and let it cool completely. Then gently lift the parchment paper and remove the brownie from the tray.
  • Cut it into small squares and relish the delicious, rich, extra chocolaty brownies right away!
