Do you want to enjoy refreshing minty lemonade throughout the warm days without feeling guilty of all the refined sugar that goes in it? Try this easy, quick lemonade and I assure you this will change the whole lemonade game!
3½cupChilled Water(you can also use sparkling water)
½tspBlack Salt
2Lemon Slice(for serving)
4Ice Cubes(for serving)
Instructions
Squeeze ½ cup worth of fresh lemon juice. Make sure there aren’t any seeds.
Add 3 tbsp honey to the lemon juice and whisk it until the honey is dissolved.
Take 10-12 mint leaves, wash them, tear a few of them by hand and keep few of them whole. Add them to the lemon honey mixture.
With the help of a muddler, muddle the mint leaves to extract the optimum flavor. If you don’t have a muddler, use the back of a wooden spoon.
Add this mixture into 3 and ½ cups of chilled water.
Add ½ tsp of Black Salt to the lemonade and give it a stir.
Pour them in the serving glass, add few ice cubes, lemon slice and relish!
Notes
It is important that you whisk the honey in the lemon juice and not directly in the water as honey doesn’t dissolve in cold water.
You can always alter the proportion of lemon to honey as per your preference of sour/sweet lemonade.
This recipe makes for 2 large mason jars. For larger quantities, simply multiply the measurements of the ingredients for the number of servings you wish to make.
